Bloomily vs. Smartwaiver
Choose Bloomily when your camp or drop-in program wants families to sign the waiver as they register, then pay and check in through Bloomily too. Smartwaiver is a digital waiver platform with kiosk signing, Photo Capture and offline collection, which may be enough when waivers are your only gap.

Smartwaiver in its own words
Smartwaiver calls itself "a digital waiver platform that lets businesses easily create, sign, and securely store waivers online" (Smartwaiver). Its site footer reads "©2026 TogetherWork" (Smartwaiver features). It is a waiver tool first, and its camp page describes waivers "built for minors and group intake" (Smartwaiver for camps).
For camps, Smartwaiver says parents and guardians sign for their minors online before arrival, so consent is on file before the first day. Every signature is time-stamped and stored with a full audit trail in WaiverVault. Signing keeps working when the connection drops (Smartwaiver for camps). Its features page describes a tablet in kiosk mode, where Photo Capture pairs each face with the correct waiver (Smartwaiver features). It also offers to turn your paper waiver into a digital one for free (Smartwaiver). Pricing is based on how many waivers you collect each month. Off-season, an account can move to a low-cost storage plan instead of canceling (Smartwaiver pricing).
Where Bloomily fits a camp or drop-in program better
A waiver is one step in a family's visit. In Bloomily, signing it is part of registering, and the same family then pays and checks in.
Camp: the waiver comes with registration. Families register from your camp's own page and pay a deposit, and each week has its own capacity (Bloomily for camps). Camp forms collect health notes, emergency contacts, pickup people, shirt size and waivers (Bloomily camp registration). Families fill in and sign camp forms from the family app (Bloomily features). Deposits come in at registration, and the balance bill is made for you.
Drop-in: registered before they sit down. A new family scans your QR poster, registers on their phone and signs your waiver (Bloomily for drop-in). They add a card at the door, and it is charged after pickup. When you check a child out from the board, the visit invoices itself. Families can also buy visit packs and memberships online, and you see how many visits each has left.
One door for arrivals and pickups. Any iPad can become a self-service check-in station (Bloomily staff app). Families type the last 4 digits of their phone, then a PIN (Bloomily check-in). They get notified when their child is checked in or out (Bloomily parent app). In drop-in care, the board shows who is in, when they arrived and who is due out (Bloomily for drop-in).
Camp days families can see. Counselors check campers in and out from the staff app on iPhone. Campers sit in groups, and counselors share a photo album with each group (Bloomily camp registration).
When Smartwaiver is enough
If registration and payments already run well somewhere else, and waivers are the one gap, a waiver tool may be all you need. Smartwaiver's kiosk mode, Photo Capture and offline signing are built for signing on site.
A few things to weigh before you decide:
- If your camp collects most of its waivers in a few busy weeks, read Smartwaiver's pricing page closely. It says camps and one-time events with heavy spikes often outgrow the standard tiers (Smartwaiver pricing).
- If waivers live in one tool and registration in another, ask how each signed waiver gets matched to the right camper and week.
- Whichever tool you use, have your waiver language reviewed. Smartwaiver's own camp page notes that enforceability can depend on state law, waiver language, participant age and the activity (Smartwaiver for camps).
Moving from Smartwaiver to Bloomily
For a camp, bring the list you keep today, as it is. AI help does the reading. That can be a spreadsheet, another system's export, a PDF or a photo of a paper list. Nothing saves until you approve it. When you are ready, send each family one invite. Their child is already on their account. Keep your old system running beside Bloomily as long as you like (Switching to Bloomily).
For drop-in care, families register themselves the first time they scan your poster (Bloomily for drop-in). If you want past signed waivers kept on file, ask Smartwaiver about the storage plan its pricing page describes for the off-season.
Questions to ask in both demos
- How would a family register for specific camp weeks and pay for them in the same visit?
- How would a week stop taking campers when it is full, and how would a waitlist work?
- How would a counselor record check-in and check-out, including the adult who picked the child up?
- How would a parent with three children sign once and have it apply to each child?
- How does a drop-in visit get charged at pickup, and where does the family see the bill?
- How would counselors see their group's allergies and medications from the forms?
- What happens to signing at the door if the Wi-Fi drops?
Which one fits your program
Keep Smartwaiver if waivers are your only gap and the rest of your program runs well elsewhere. Choose Bloomily when the waiver should come with registration, payment and check-in for each family.
