Bloomily vs. Docusign

Choose Bloomily when your preschool enrollment packet or camp forms should lead straight into tuition or deposits, check-in and family updates. Docusign is an e-signature and agreement platform with a liability waiver template, and it fits when signing is the only job.

Docusign in its own words

Docusign says its platform, Docusign IAM, lets you create, commit to and manage your agreements (Docusign). It is an e-signature tool for many kinds of agreements. Its own pages give a school permission slip as one everyday example (Docusign for individuals).

Docusign's K-12 blog says digital permission slips can save teachers from chasing down paperwork (Docusign K-12 blog). Its liability waiver template has signature lines for the participant, and for a parent or guardian if the participant is under 18 (Docusign waiver template). Its pricing page lists a Personal plan that sends 5 envelopes per month. Standard and Business Pro plans each send 100 envelopes per user per year. An envelope is a document sent for signature. Web forms, bulk sending and collecting payment during signing are listed on Business Pro (Docusign pricing). To take payments, you need an account with a supported gateway such as Stripe, Braintree or Authorize.net. Signer payment methods can then be stored for future or recurring charges (Docusign Payments).

Where Bloomily fits a preschool or camp better

A signed form is one step. A preschool or camp then needs that family's tuition or deposit, a place in a room or a week, and a morning check-in. Bloomily connects those steps.

Preschool enrollment that leads to the first day. A parent books a tour from your website and is on your list by morning. Offers, forms, deposits and waitlists are part of the same enrollment pipeline. Missing signatures get reminders in each family's language until the packet is done (Bloomily enrollment). Enrollment forms take custom fields, uploads and digital signatures on any device, attached to the family's record (Bloomily online enrollment).

Camp forms that come with registration. Families register from your camp's own page and pay a deposit, and each week has its own capacity (Bloomily for camps). Camp forms collect health notes, emergency contacts, pickup people, shirt size and waivers (Bloomily camp registration). Families fill in and sign camp forms from the family app (Bloomily features).

Payments that follow the paperwork. Families pay by card or bank transfer (ACH), and the money goes to your own Stripe account (Bloomily payments). Each family has one autopay, one statement and one history, however many children it has (Bloomily billing). For preschools, tuition bills on your charge day, and families on autopay pay without a nudge (Bloomily for preschools). For camps, deposits come in at registration, and the balance bill is made for you (Bloomily for camps).

The same child at the door. Families check in at a tablet by the door with the last 4 digits of their phone and a PIN (Bloomily check-in). They get notified when their child is checked in or out (Bloomily parent app). Preschool families get the day's report with photos (Bloomily for preschools). Camp families see their group's photo album in the app (Bloomily for camps).

When Docusign is enough

Docusign fits when signing is the whole job. A vendor contract, a staff agreement or a one-time field trip slip does not need a program system. If your enrollment, billing and attendance already run well elsewhere, an e-signature tool can fill the paperwork gap.

Before you lean on it for a full school year or camp season, check a few things:

  • Count the packets, waivers and slips you send in a year. Compare that with the envelope allowance on the plan you would need (Docusign pricing).
  • If you want to collect fees as families sign, check which plan includes it. The pricing page lists payment collection on Business Pro.
  • Ask where each signed document goes after signing, and how a teacher or counselor finds it for the right child.

Moving from Docusign to Bloomily

Bring the list you keep today, as it is. AI help does the reading. That can be a spreadsheet, another system's export, a PDF or a photo of a paper list. Nothing saves until you approve it.

When you are ready, send each family one invite. Their child is already on their account. Keep your old system running beside Bloomily as long as you like (Switching to Bloomily).

Questions to ask in both demos

  • How would a family choose camp weeks or a classroom, and see the price, before signing?
  • How would a session stop taking sign-ups when full, and how would a waitlist work?
  • How would each signed waiver or permission slip attach to the right child's record for the whole year?
  • How would a parent with several children complete one packet for all of them?
  • How would staff check children in and out each day?
  • How would families get messages or photos from the program?
  • How would monthly tuition or a camp balance be charged once the forms are signed?

Which one fits your program

Keep Docusign for agreements that stand on their own. Choose Bloomily when enrollment forms and camp forms should lead into billing, check-in and family updates. See Bloomily for preschools, Bloomily for camps, Bloomily's preschool pricing and Bloomily's camp pricing.

Questions, answered

Is Bloomily a good Docusign alternative for a preschool?

Yes, when enrollment is more than a signature. In Bloomily, enrollment forms take custom fields, uploads and digital signatures, attached to the family's record. Offers, deposits and waitlists are part of the same pipeline. Tuition then bills on your charge day, and families on autopay pay without a nudge.

Can you use Docusign for camp waivers and permission slips?

Yes. Docusign publishes a liability waiver template with a parent or guardian signature line for participants under 18. Its K-12 blog describes digital permission slips. Check how many envelopes your plan allows in a busy season.

How much does Docusign cost?

Docusign's pricing page lists eSignature plans: Personal at $11/month, Standard at $30/user/month and Business Pro at $45/user/month, each as an annual commitment. Enhanced plans go through sales. Bloomily publishes one price per location on its pricing pages.

Can families sign Bloomily forms on a phone?

Yes. Preschool enrollment forms take digital signatures on any device, attached to the family's record. Camp families fill in and sign camp forms from the family app, which runs on iPhone and Android.

Can I move my records from Docusign to Bloomily?

Yes. Bring the list you keep today, as it is: a spreadsheet, another system's export, a PDF or a photo of a paper list. AI help does the reading, and nothing saves until you approve it.
