What is authorized pickup software?

Authorized pickup software keeps the list of adults who may take each child home. In Bloomily, parents add those adults from the family app. Each adult gets their own 4-digit kiosk PIN, and every check-out records who picked up. Your office sees every name on the child’s record and can add, reset or remove anyone. It is for preschools, daycares, camps and afterschool programs. A PIN proves someone knows the code, so your staff still check faces they have not met.

How authorized pickup works

  1. A parent adds a pickup person

In the family app, a parent adds a grandparent or friend and picks which children they may collect. Their PIN shows on screen.

  2. Your office sees every name

Each child’s record lists their pickup people, with how they are related. Show a PIN, reset it or remove someone.

A child’s pickup people on a phone: the grandmother, with her own kiosk PIN.
  3. They check out at the kiosk

At the door, they type the last four digits of their phone, then their PIN. They choose the children and sign.

  4. The day records who left with whom

The day’s attendance shows who checked out, and each child’s record says who picked them up.

The day’s attendance on a phone: 10 checked in of 24 on the roster, 10 not arrived and 4 checked out.
