Bloomily vs. Campium

Choose Bloomily when your day camp wants weekly capacity, deposits, counselor check-in on iPhone, group photo albums and translated family messages together. Campium describes a connected camp platform with payment plans, pickup permissions, nurse tools and live bus tracking, so test those jobs.

Campium in its own words

Campium says it "connects registration, billing, attendance, and communication in one platform" (Campium). Its homepage names overnight summer camps, day programs and after school programs. It also offers a free 15-day trial "with your own season."

For money, Campium lists a family ledger, payment plans, ACH and credit card, discounts, deposits and multiple processors. Daily attendance shows who is present, absent or checked out, with "pickup permissions by guardian." For the camp nurse, it lists med passes, sick call visits and health charts. Its med pass list is "grouped by bunk, with allergy and EpiPen flags on every row." Communication covers mass email, SMS, announcements and one-way messaging. The homepage also says parents can register, pay, message staff and receive updates from the same portal or mobile app (Campium). Its bus page says staff start live tracking from the mobile app and mark riders Present or Not Arrived. An admin map then shows each bus's ETA (Campium bus tracking).

Where Bloomily fits a day camp better

Bloomily is built around the day camp week. Families choose weeks, counselors run groups, and parents follow along in the app.

Weeks with their own capacity and price. Families register from your camp's page and pay a deposit. Each week has its own capacity, and a full week keeps a waiting list (Bloomily for camps). A family picks exactly the weeks it wants, and each week keeps its own price. Sibling discounts, early-bird prices and promo codes apply at checkout (Bloomily camp registration).

A deposit now, the balance later. Deposits come in at registration. The balance bill is made for you, due the Friday before the week (Bloomily features). Weeks and add-ons such as before care, after care or lunch land on one family balance, with one autopay (Bloomily programs).

Check-in from a counselor's phone. Counselors check campers in and out from the staff app on iPhone (Bloomily camp registration). Families can check in at a kiosk with a PIN, or on their own phone (Bloomily for camps). Parents get a notice when their child is checked in or out (Bloomily parent app).

Groups, photos and replies. Campers sit in groups, and counselors share a photo album with each group (Bloomily camp registration). Families see their group's album in the parent app on iPhone or Android (Bloomily for parents). The staff app has its own camera, so photos never touch a personal camera roll (Bloomily media). Messages arrive translated into each parent's language, and replies come back in yours (Bloomily communication).

What to check if you rely on Campium's buses or nurse tools

Campium's pages put weight on live bus tracking and on the camp nurse's day. If those are central to your season, test them with your own routes and medications.

  • Buses. Campium describes live tracking from its staff app, with a rider roster and an ETA map. Bloomily does not track buses, so treat bus routes as their own requirement.
  • The nurse. Campium lists med passes, sick call visits and health charts. Bloomily's camp forms collect health notes, emergency contacts, pickup people and waivers (Bloomily camp registration). If your nurse gives medications every day, ask both to show that routine.
  • Replies from families. Campium lists one-way messaging, and also says parents can message staff. Ask which messages families can answer.
  • Check-in on a phone. Ask whether counselors check campers in on an iPhone in the same app staff use for buses.

Moving from Campium to Bloomily

Bring the list you keep today, as it is. AI help does the reading. That can be a spreadsheet, another system's export, a PDF or a photo of a paper list. It reads children with their birthdays, allergies, dietary notes and medical notes. Nothing saves until you approve it.

When you are ready, send each family one invite. Their child is already on their account. Keep your old system running beside Bloomily as long as you like (Switching to Bloomily).

Questions to ask in both demos

  • Can counselors check campers in and out on an iPhone, with the guardian pickup list in view?
  • Which messages can families reply to, and do they arrive in each parent's own language?
  • Can families see photos from camp in the app, and only photos they are allowed to see?
  • Do payment plans and balances charge a saved card automatically on set dates?
  • How are capacity and waiting lists set for each week of a weekly day camp?
  • What does it cost for a day camp of our size, including payment processing?

Which one fits your camp

Choose Bloomily when your day camp runs by the week and wants registration, deposits, check-in, group photos and translated messages together. If live bus tracking and a camp nurse's med passes are your main jobs, Campium's pages speak to those. See Bloomily for camps and Bloomily's camp pricing.

Questions, answered

Is Bloomily a good Campium alternative for a day camp?

Yes, when your camp runs by the week. In Bloomily, each week has its own capacity and families pay a deposit at registration. Counselors check campers in on iPhone, and families see their group's photos in the parent app. If live bus tracking or a camp nurse's med passes matter most, compare those closely.

Does Campium have a parent app?

Campium's homepage says parents can register, pay, message staff and receive updates from the same portal or mobile app. Bloomily's parent app is on iPhone and Android, with group photo albums and messages translated into each parent's language.

How much does Campium cost?

We found no published prices on Campium's site. Its homepage offers a free 15-day trial with your own season, or a demo. Bloomily publishes one price per location on its camp pricing page.

Can counselors check in campers on a phone with Bloomily?

Yes. Counselors check campers in and out from Bloomily Center, the staff app on iPhone. Families can also check in at a kiosk with a PIN, or on their own phone.

Can I move my camp records from Campium to Bloomily?

Yes. Bring the list you keep today, as it is. That can be a spreadsheet, another system's export, a PDF or a photo of a paper list. AI help does the reading, and nothing saves until you approve it.
