Bloomily vs. CampSite

Choose Bloomily when your day camp sells weeks and you want deposits, counselor check-in on iPhone, group photo albums and translated family messages to work as one system. CampSite describes software for day and overnight camps, with bus schedules, a bunking board and its myCAMPapp parent app, so test those jobs if your camp depends on them.

CampSite in its own words

CampSite is camp software at campmanagement.com for day camps and overnight camps. Its day camp page says "CampSite was built to tackle the biggest challenges day camps face" (CampSite for day camps). Its home page says overnight camps can "manage all aspects of overnight camp operations" from one system (CampSite).

On the day camp page, parents enroll campers online. Camps create payment schedules to invoice parents, then batch process cards or e-checks. Attendance shows which campers are present or absent. It also shows who was dropped off by the bus and who was picked up by a parent. Camps build bus schedules and update routes when plans change. There are also tools to find and hire staff (CampSite for day camps). CampSite includes myCAMPapp, a parent app that shares photos and videos, sends push notifications and uses photo facial recognition (CampSite myCAMPapp). Its feature menu also lists medical management, a camp shop, camper spending money, activity scheduling and a bunking board (CampSite).

Where Bloomily fits a day camp better

Bloomily's camp pages describe the day-camp week: the weeks families pick, the groups campers sit in, and check-in at the door.

Weeks families can pick. Families register from your camp's own page and pay a deposit. Each week has its own capacity, and a full week keeps a waiting list. The next family gets any place that opens (Bloomily for camps). A family picks exactly the weeks it wants, and each week keeps its own price (Bloomily camp registration).

A deposit, then a balance bill. In Bloomily, deposits come in at registration, and the balance bill is made for you, due the Friday before the week (Bloomily features). If an autopay payment fails, the family gets a prompt to update their card, and the payment retries on its own (Bloomily billing). Families pay by card or bank transfer, and you decide who covers the processing fee (Bloomily payments).

Check-in on iPhone or at the door. Counselors check campers in and out from the staff app on iPhone (Bloomily camp registration). Families check in and out at the kiosk with a PIN, or on their own phone (Bloomily for camps). Any iPad can become a self-service check-in station at your entrance (Bloomily staff app).

Group albums and messages in each family's language. Counselors share a photo album with each group (Bloomily camp registration). Families see it in the parent app on iPhone or Android (Bloomily for parents). The staff app has its own camera, so photos never touch a personal camera roll (Bloomily photos and media). Every photo respects each family's sharing preferences (Bloomily learning and photos). A parent sets their language once, and your messages arrive translated (Bloomily family communication).

What to check if you rely on buses, bunks and myCAMPapp

CampSite's pages describe several jobs in their own right: bus schedules and route changes, a bunking board and activity scheduling. They also list staff hiring, a camp shop and camper spending money. Bloomily does not run a car line or track buses, and it does not run staff hiring. Its camp pages describe day-camp weeks, groups and check-in.

If buses run your morning, ask CampSite to show a route change and the bus attendance that follows it. If you count on facial recognition in myCAMPapp, ask how each parent sees only photos of their own child. Then ask Bloomily to show a group album, the family's sharing settings and the parent app view.

Moving from CampSite to Bloomily

Bring the list you keep today, as it is. AI help does the reading. That can be a spreadsheet, another system's export, a PDF or a photo of a paper list. Nothing saves until you approve it.

When you are ready, send each family one invite. Their child is already on their account. Keep your old system running beside Bloomily as long as you like (Switching to Bloomily).

Questions to ask in both demos

  • Can counselors check campers in and out on an iPhone, and is that a staff app or the parent app?
  • How is capacity set for each week, and what happens when a week fills?
  • Can a family pay a deposit at registration, with the balance charged on a set date?
  • Can parents reply to messages, and do messages reach them in their own language?
  • Who can see each photo, and how are each family's sharing choices kept?
  • How do bus routes, bunks and activities tie back to attendance?
  • What would a day camp of our size pay, including card and e-check processing?

Which one fits your camp

Choose Bloomily when your day camp wants weekly registration, deposits, the morning check-in and group photos in one system. If buses, bunks and camper spending money shape your days, CampSite's pages speak to that. See Bloomily for camps and Bloomily's camp pricing.

Questions, answered

Is Bloomily a good CampSite alternative for a day camp?

Yes, when your day camp sells weeks. In Bloomily, families pick weeks and pay a deposit, counselors check campers in on iPhone, and families see their group's photos in the parent app. If buses or a bunking board run your day, compare those jobs closely.

Does CampSite have a parent app?

Yes. CampSite's page says its camp software includes myCAMPapp. The page lists sharing photos and videos, push notifications, real-time communication and photo facial recognition.

How much does CampSite cost?

CampSite's site invites camps to request a demo for details. Ask CampSite for a quote that includes card and e-check processing for a camp your size. Bloomily publishes one price per location on its camp pricing page.

Does Bloomily track camp buses?

No. Bloomily does not run a car line or track buses. Its camp pages describe weeks, groups and check-in. If buses are central to your camp, weigh CampSite's transportation tools carefully.

Can I move my camp records from CampSite to Bloomily?

Yes. Bring the list you keep today, as it is: a spreadsheet, another system's export, a PDF or a photo of a paper list. AI help does the reading, and nothing saves until you approve it.
