Bloomily vs. Typeform

Choose Bloomily when your camp or preschool needs more than a form: camp weeks with set places, deposits and balances, tuition on autopay, and check-in at the door. Typeform builds forms with templates, conditional logic and Stripe or PayPal payments, so it suits single forms with a fee.

Typeform in its own words

Typeform says it combines "AI forms and automated workflows" (Typeform), and it was founded in 2012 (About Typeform). Its template library speaks to camps and early childhood. The summer camp template collects "registration details, medical information, and emergency contacts" from camp families before the session starts (summer camp template). The childcare template speaks to parents registering for "daycare, preschool, or after-school programs" (childcare template). The preschool template helps you welcome "a new child into your program from day one" (preschool template).

Typeform's camp template says Stripe or PayPal can collect "registration fees, deposits, or full payments as part of the form flow." It adds that installment options, early-bird pricing and sibling discounts come from "using conditional logic to adjust the amount" (camp template). Its help center says a form holds one Payment question, and that payments need a Basic or higher plan and a Stripe account. Recurring payments run as Stripe subscriptions (Typeform help). Its pricing page lists a signature question to "sign and send agreements inline." Each plan includes a monthly number of responses, with 100 on Basic (Typeform pricing).

Where Bloomily fits a camp or preschool better

Typeform's camp template builds pricing with conditional logic inside the form. In Bloomily, the registration also becomes the camper's weeks, bills, check-in and group photos.

Camp weeks with places, prices and discounts. For camps, each session gets its own dates, capacity and price (Bloomily programs). A family picks exactly the weeks it wants. Sibling discounts, early-bird prices and promo codes apply at checkout (Bloomily camp registration). A full week keeps a waiting list, and the next family gets any place that opens (Bloomily for camps).

A deposit now, the balance later. Camp families can pay in full, pay a deposit, or use a payment plan (Bloomily camp registration). Deposits come in at registration. The balance bill is made for you, due the Friday before the week (Bloomily features). For preschools, tuition bills on your charge day, and families on autopay pay without a nudge (Bloomily for preschools). Each family has one autopay, one statement and one history, however many children it has (Bloomily billing).

Enrollment that keeps going after the form. For preschools, a parent can book a tour from your website at night and be on your list by morning. Offers, forms, deposits and waitlists follow in the same pipeline (Bloomily enrollment). Applications take custom fields, uploads and digital signatures (Bloomily online enrollment). Missing signatures get reminders in each family's language (Bloomily enrollment).

The day itself. Families check in at a tablet by the door with the last 4 digits of their phone, then a PIN (Bloomily check-in). For camps, counselors check campers in on iPhone, and each group has a photo album families see in the app (Bloomily camp registration). For preschools, teachers finish the day's report with photos, and families get it in the app and by email (Bloomily for preschools). Messages arrive translated into each parent's language (Bloomily communication).

When Typeform is enough

Typeform fits well when one form does the whole job. A fundraiser sign-up, a family event with a ticket, a feedback survey or an interest list before you open registration are good examples. If your camp runs one short session for a few families, a template with a Stripe payment may cover it.

You may have outgrown it when:

  • You build a new form, with its own pricing logic, for every session.
  • You count responses by hand to know when a week is full.
  • Installments and balances sit in Stripe, apart from the camper's record.
  • Morning check-in happens on a printed list.

If you stay on Typeform, check two things against your season. Its help center says a form holds one Payment question. And each plan includes a set number of responses a month, so compare that with your busiest registration month.

Moving from Typeform to Bloomily

Bring the list you keep today, as it is. AI help does the reading. That can be a spreadsheet, another system's export, a PDF or a photo of a paper list. Nothing saves until you approve it.

When you are ready, send each family one invite. Their child is already on their account. Keep your old system running beside Bloomily as long as you like (Switching to Bloomily).

Questions to ask before you choose

  • How does a camp week stop taking registrations when it is full, and how do families join a waiting list?
  • How does a family pay a deposit now and the balance later, without a reminder from you?
  • How does a family register two children without filling in everything twice?
  • How does a counselor or teacher check a child in and out, including who picked them up?
  • How does the office share a roster for one group or one week?
  • Where does a parent go later to update a pickup person?

Which one fits your program

Keep Typeform for single forms, surveys and event sign-ups. Choose Bloomily when weeks, balances, tuition, check-in and family messages need to follow each child through the season or the school year. See Bloomily for camps and Bloomily for preschools, with camp pricing and preschool pricing.

Questions, answered

Is Bloomily a good Typeform alternative for a summer camp?

Yes, when registration is only the start of your season. In Bloomily, each camp week has its own capacity and waiting list. Families pay in full, pay a deposit or use a payment plan. Counselors then check campers in on iPhone, and families see their group's photos in the app.

Can you take camp payments in Typeform?

Yes. Typeform's camp template says Stripe or PayPal can collect registration fees, deposits or full payments as part of the form. Its help center says payments need a Basic or higher plan and a Stripe account, and that a form holds one Payment question.

Can Typeform handle sibling discounts?

Typeform's camp template says sibling discounts and early-bird pricing are built with conditional logic that adjusts the amount. For camps, Bloomily applies sibling discounts, early-bird prices and promo codes at checkout.

How much does Typeform cost?

Typeform's pricing page lists a free plan and paid plans, each with a monthly allowance of responses. Basic includes 100 responses a month. Check the page for current prices. Bloomily publishes one price per location on its pricing pages.

Can I move my Typeform registrations to Bloomily?

Yes. Bring the list you keep today, as it is: a spreadsheet, another system's export, a PDF or a photo of a paper list. AI help does the reading, and nothing saves until you approve it.
