Bloomily vs. Formstack
Choose Bloomily when your camp or preschool needs the program behind the paperwork: camp weeks that fill, deposits and balances, tuition on autopay, check-in at the door and messages to families. Formstack offers forms, documents and e-signatures with Stripe payments, which suits organizations whose main job is paperwork.

Formstack in its own words
Formstack describes its products as "Secure and Easy-to-use Forms, Docs & eSignatures" (Formstack). The business was "founded in 2006 as Formstack," and the company renamed itself Intellistack in 2025 (Intellistack). Formstack Forms, Documents and Sign are still sold under the Formstack name. Its camp template helps you "quickly register children for your summer camp program." It suggests grouping a camp's forms "so parents can access the forms they need in one, easily accessible location" (camp template).
Its Stripe integration accepts "single-item, multi-item, and subscription-based purchases." Formstack says PCI compliance with that integration is available with the PCI Edition (Formstack and Stripe). Formstack Sign offers "eSignatures, no per-envelope fees" (Formstack Sign). Its pricing page lists a Forms plan with 25 forms, 1,000 submissions per form and 2GB of storage. A Suite adds Documents and Sign. Formstack offers a 14-day free trial of Forms with no credit card (Formstack pricing).
Where Bloomily fits a camp or preschool better
Formstack covers paperwork: forms, documents and signatures. Bloomily covers the program those papers are for.
Camp weeks that fill. For camps, families register from your camp's own page and pay a deposit. Each week has its own capacity, and a full week keeps a waiting list (Bloomily for camps). A family picks exactly the weeks it wants, and each week keeps its own price. Sibling discounts, early-bird prices and promo codes apply at checkout (Bloomily camp registration).
Forms that stay with the child. Camp forms collect health notes, emergency contacts, pickup people, shirt size and waivers (Bloomily camp registration). Camp families fill in and sign them from the family app (Bloomily features). For preschools, applications take custom fields, uploads and digital signatures, attached to the family's record (Bloomily online enrollment). Missing signatures get reminders in each family's language until the packet is done (Bloomily enrollment).
Bills that follow the form. Families pay by card or bank transfer, and the money goes to your own Stripe account (Bloomily payments). Camp families can pay in full, pay a deposit, or use a payment plan (Bloomily camp registration). Camp weeks and add-ons such as before care or lunch land on one family balance with one autopay (Bloomily programs). For preschools, tuition bills on your charge day (Bloomily for preschools). A failed payment retries after the family is asked to update their card (Bloomily billing features).
The day itself. Families check in at a tablet by the door with the last 4 digits of their phone, then a PIN (Bloomily check-in). For camps, counselors check campers in on iPhone and share a photo album with each group (Bloomily camp registration). For preschools, each room shows who is in it and whether it has enough teachers (Bloomily for preschools). Messages arrive translated into each parent's language (Bloomily communication).
When Formstack is enough
Formstack fits well when your main job is paperwork. Good examples are an event registration, a policy families sign, documents your office sends out or a single camp form. If a larger organization around your program already uses Formstack, keeping those jobs there makes sense.
You may have outgrown it when:
- You build a separate form for each week or session, then compare the counts.
- Deposits come in through a form, and balances are tracked somewhere else.
- The morning roster is a printout of submissions.
- Families email you to ask what they owe and what comes next.
If you stay on Formstack, compare its plan limits with your season. The Forms plan lists 25 forms and 1,000 submissions per form, so count your weeks and forms before you build (Formstack pricing).
Moving from Formstack to Bloomily
Bring the list you keep today, as it is. AI help does the reading. That can be a spreadsheet, another system's export, a PDF or a photo of a paper list. Nothing saves until you approve it.
When you are ready, send each family one invite. Their child is already on their account. Keep your old system running beside Bloomily as long as you like (Switching to Bloomily).
Questions to ask before you choose
- How does a camp session stop taking registrations when it is full, and how does a waiting list work?
- How does a family pay a deposit at registration and have the balance charged later?
- At camp checkout, how does a sibling discount apply when a family registers two children?
- How do staff check children in and out and record the adult who picked them up?
- How does the office see a roster for each group, room or week?
- Is there an app families use after registering, and what do they see in it?
Which one fits your program
Keep Formstack for paperwork that stands alone: documents, signed policies and single forms. Choose Bloomily when registration, bills, check-in and family messages need to follow each child through the camp season or the school year.
