Daily Connect in its own words

Daily Connect says it "frees you from time-consuming administrative tasks so you can spend more time growing your business" (Daily Connect). It started in 2011 in Mountain View, California, to help childcare centers communicate with the families they serve (Daily Connect: About Us). Today its pages also speak to after school programs and summer camps. Its pricing page offers plans for nannies and small family daycares, and its Enterprise plan lists multi-site dashboards (Daily Connect pricing).

Its billing page says invoices can be generated "based on the days or hours each child attends your center." It accepts credit cards, ACH transfers, cash and checks. Parents can split payments, and staff can add government subsidies (Daily Connect parent billing). Parents sign their child in with "a QR code or unique PIN" (Daily Connect home daycare software). For enrollment, an online storefront takes applications and advance payments (Daily Connect enrollment). Pricing counts the unique active children each month, on a month-to-month subscription (Daily Connect pricing).

Where Bloomily fits a preschool or childcare center better

Bloomily is built around the day inside your rooms and the money that follows it.

Live ratios from real check-ins. Families check in at a kiosk with the last 4 digits of their phone and a PIN. Or they show a QR code from the family app, and staff can always check a child in by hand (Bloomily check-in). Each room shows who is in it and whether it has enough teachers (Bloomily for preschools). Ratios come from real check-ins of children and staff, not from the schedule (Bloomily classrooms).

A day families can follow, in their language. At 3:30 PM teachers finish the day's report and add photos. Families get it in the app and by email (Bloomily for preschools). A parent sets their language once. Your messages arrive translated, and theirs come back in yours (Bloomily communication). The parent app runs on iPhone and Android (Bloomily for parents).

Tuition on autopay, with a year-end statement. Tuition bills on your charge day, and families on autopay pay without a nudge (Bloomily for preschools). When a card fails, the family gets a prompt to update it, and the payment retries on its own (Bloomily billing). A subsidy invoice splits the agency's share from the family's (Bloomily daycare management). At year end, billing gives you a statement with every payment and your tax ID (Bloomily billing software).

Health records ready when the state asks. Immunizations show their status per child and per vaccine, with due dates, exemptions and an export. Medications, incidents and screenings are documented as they happen and shared with parents the same hour (Bloomily health and safety).

What to check if you rely on Daily Connect's attendance billing

If you bill by the days or hours a child attends, bring a real month to both demos. Daily Connect's billing page describes invoices built from attendance. In Bloomily, tuition bills on your charge day. Ask both companies to bill one part-time child who missed a day, and compare the invoices.

Daily Connect also takes cash and checks alongside cards and ACH. If many of your families pay by check, ask each company how a check is recorded and shown on the family's balance. In Bloomily, families pay by card or bank transfer, and your program decides who covers the processing fee (Bloomily payments).

Daily Connect's pricing counts unique active children each month. Ask what your count would be in your busiest month, and which plan includes the features you use, such as immunizations or CRM.

Moving from Daily Connect to Bloomily

Daily Connect's pricing page says you and your parents keep access to your data after you cancel (Daily Connect pricing).

Bring the list you keep today, as it is. AI help does the reading. That can be a spreadsheet, another system's export, a PDF or a photo of a paper list. Nothing saves until you approve it.

When you are ready, send each family one invite. Their child is already on their account. Keep your old system running beside Bloomily as long as you like (Switching to Bloomily).

Questions to ask in both demos

  • Does the system alert staff when a room goes over ratio?
  • Are year-end tax statements produced for families?
  • How is a part-time child billed after missing a day?
  • What are the card and ACH processing fees, and can families cover them?
  • Can one family account hold children at two of your locations with one bill?
  • Do messages translate both ways between staff and parents?
  • What would you pay in your busiest month, at your real enrollment?

Questions, answered

Is Bloomily a good Daily Connect alternative for a childcare center?

Yes, when you want live room ratios, translated family messages and tuition on autopay working together. In Bloomily, each room shows whether it has enough teachers, and billing gives you a year-end statement with every payment. If you bill by the days or hours a child attends, compare that part closely.

How much does Daily Connect cost?

Daily Connect's pricing page says it charges for the number of unique active children each month, on a month-to-month subscription. Daily Connect's price calculator shows "Professional $16 /month billed annually 10 children included, then $1.60 / child" as its default, and Enterprise says Contact Us. The page adds that standard payment processing fees apply to online parent payments. Bloomily's prices are on its pricing pages.

Can Daily Connect bill by attendance?

Its billing page says it can generate invoices based on the days or hours each child attends your center. In Bloomily, tuition bills on your charge day, and families on autopay pay without a nudge. If you bill by hours attended, ask both companies to bill a sample month for one part-time child.

Does Bloomily have a parent app?

Yes. The parent app runs on iPhone and Android. Families see photos and daily reports, check in, report absences, and pay tuition or set up autopay from the app.

Can I move my records from Daily Connect to Bloomily?

Yes. Daily Connect's pricing page says you and your parents keep access to your data after you cancel. Bring the list you keep today, as it is, and AI help does the reading. Nothing saves until you approve it.
